 Self Registration Allowed

The 'Self Registration Allowed' domain attribute determines if anonymous users can register themselves in the current domain. The default value for this attribute is yes, permitting anonymous users to self-register.

A new domain user can be designated as active or inactive using the auto activation for self registration attribute. A user must be activated in order to self-register in a domain.

Domain Key for Self Registration

The 'Domain Key for Self Registration' attribute specifies a domain key for the domain. This option provides a means to restrict users who can register in a domain. The default configuration of a domain does not specify a domain key.

The domain key must be provided to all users permitted to register in a domain.  A user will be required to provide this domain key when registering in a domain.

Auto Activation for Self Registration

The 'Auto Activation for Self Registration' attribute determines the activation status for new users registering in a domain. The default value for this attribute is set to yes.

Setting this option to yes, enables automatic activation of new domain users. Setting this option to no, disables automatic activation of users. Every new user registering in the current domain must be manually activated to obtain access to the domain.

Domain Protected

The 'Domain Protected' attribute determines access privileges for the domain. The default value for this attribute is set to yes.

Setting this option to yes, does not permit anonymous users to view projects within the domain. Setting this option to no, permits anonymous users or guests to view projects within the domain.

Domain Locale

Starting from SamePage 3.5, the domain administrator can choose to set the domain locale to any of the available locales from the drop down list. The UI will then be displayed in the chosen language for all domain users.

Allow Locale Override

The 'Allow locale override' when set to 'Yes' will allow users to change the locale as per their needs. When this is set to 'No' users will not be able to override the administrator's choice.

Locales can be set by users through the 'Preferences' page.

Supported Locales

The supported locales gives a list of all locale that the domain will support. The administrator can choose to keep or remove certain options by clicking on the list.

For example from the attached screen shot, if the domain administrator chooses to remove 'French,France' just click on the list and un select the French,France' option and then click on 'Update'.

Themes

Domain administrators can choose to set a default theme for their domain. This can be done by selecting the required theme from the drop down list and then clicking on 'Update.'

Format for Date and Format for Date with Time

A default date format or date time format can be set by domain administrators for the entire domain through these fields. These fields take only a specific format of date or date-time. For more information on the date or date time formats click here, or on the following link

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/text/SimpleDateFormat.html

Support Email id

The domain administrator can specify an email id here to which all the support email will be redirected. We highly recommend this field be set to an internal email id or the administrators email id as this will make the process faster and more efficient. Enter the email if to which the support email will be redirected and click on 'Update.'

Enable Social Bookmarking

Setting 'Yes' to this setting will display the Social Bookmarking  link at the end of each page. Through this link pages can be bookmarked to an external website like Facebook, Digg, etc.

To enable this setting, select 'Yes' and then click on 'Update.'

Expire Password

Through this field, the domain administrator can set the number of days after which the password of users will expire. When this field is set to a particular number of days, say 10 for example, the user's password will expire is 10 days and they will be forced to reset it. The domain administrator should leave this field blank if he doesn't want the password to expire.
