Child pages are pages nested within other pages in a project hierarchy.
Any number of child pages can be created for a page.
Nesting of pages in a hierarchy allows content dependencies to be established within a project.
Create a Child Page
- Open any page under which a child page is to be created.
- On the toolbar, click 'New' and choose 'Child page' from the list.
- The child page is opened in the edit mode.
- In the new page window, create a page using the normal procedure for creating pages.
- A new child page will be created and displayed under the parent page in the project hierarchy.
View Child Pages
To view a list of child pages for the current page:
- Open any page, whose child pages are to be viewed.
- On the toolbar, click 'Browse Project' and choose 'Children'
from the list. A page listing all the child pages for the selected page is displayed.
If the display shows "No Items Found" It means that the current page does not have any child pages.
Another way to see the child pages of a page is to click on the
icon at the bottom of the page. To hide the list click on 'Hide'.
Child pages can be moved to other projects or deleted, using the appropriate options for moving or deleting pages.
A list of child pages associated with a page, are displayed as hyperlinks at the end of every page. Clicking on each child page link opens a related links page listing all pages nested within the page.
