A Discussion is a thread of all previously added comments on a topic.
The discussion tab is available at the top of every page.
New comments can be added to the discussion using the 'Add Comment' link or emailed to the reference e-mail address. Reply to any comment by clicking on the 'Reply to This' link.
Once the new comment is saved, it appears as a separate comment in the discussions page.
There is also an option to remove posted comments. Click on the 'Remove' link to delete a particular comment.
SamePage also provides a way to respond to comments made by other users. When on the discussion page, if you would like to reply to a comment posted by another user, click on the 'Reply To This' link provided for that comment and your response will be seen as a reply to the previous comment.
It can be seen that replies to comments are indented. If you reply to a reply to a comment, the indent increases and so on.
To start a fresh thread simply click on the 'Add Comment' link.
in SamePage 3.6. A new 'Permalink' is available for each comment. Clicking on the Permalink gives the unique URL for each comment. Click on the Permalink link and the URL for that particular comment will be displayed on the address bar of the browser. Copy and paste this permalink where ever necessary to link back to any particular comment. This way it is easy to link to a specific comment without having to search for it especially in long discussion threads.
Comments and replies to comments can be deleted at any time. Even comments with replies to it can be deleted. Once the parent comment is deleted, the first reply will be displayed as the parent comment. In this case the delete confirmation window that opens gives an option to delete just the comment or the comment along with its replies. Choose whichever option is suitable and click on 'Delete' to confirm deletion.
