In the event that the system administrator wants to transfer ownership of projects to another user, he/she can do so through the transfer ownership screen.
Transferring ownership of all draft pages is done in the case the current owner is out of office or on vacation for a short duration of time. Transferring ownership in this case will enable the other user to edit pages locked by the previous owner.
Transferring all the ownership is usually done when the current owner leaves the organization.
To use this feature follow the below given steps:
- Access the 'User List' screen from the system administration console.
- From the list of users, choose the user whose ownerships have to be transferred.
- Click on the 'Transfer' link under the actions column for that user.
- The transfer ownership screen opens.
- This screen displays the user whose ownerships are to be transferred.
- The system administrator can then choose the user to whom the ownership is to be transferred. He can select the user by clicking on the 'Select' link provided.
- Clicking on the 'Select' link will open up a pop up window which will display all the registered users.
- Choose the user to who the ownership is to be transfer.
- Then choose if ownership only for draft pages need to be transferred of all ownership needs to be transferred.
- Then click on 'Submit' to transfer ownership to the selected user.
- To discard the transfer click on 'Cancel'

Note: Ownership can be transferred only to another active user. The registered users screen will display only active users.
In order to view or edit the draft pages, the new owner must be a member of the draft pages whose ownership is being transferred him/her. In the case where all the ownership is being transferred, this need not be the case as the new owner automatically becomes a member of all the transferred pages.
