A watch list is a list of pages the user is interested in continuously monitoring.
Watching a page is one way of keeping up with dynamically changing content of the page.
An user usually designates pages to be continuously watched, to know instantly when the contents of a page changes.
Monitoring pages in this way saves time for the user by eliminating the overhead associated with repeatedly polling or searching for pages of interest.
If the page owner does not want other members to be notified about minor or changes, then he/she can click on then box in front of 'Minor Changes' in the WYSIWYG editor.
