What is the skill level needed to install eTouch SamePage?
The person who is installing eTouch SamePage should have some knowledge about Java and Oracle. He/she should be able to download and install JDK 1.4 from http://java.sun.com and should be able to create an oracle user which will be used for eTouch SamePage schema.
What external products are needed to install eTouch SamePage?
Following external products are needed by eTouch SamePage
- Oracle 9i/10g or MySQL 5.0 Community Server
- JDK 1.4 (1.4.2 is recommended. This is bundled with SamePage)
- CVS (This is bundled with SamePage)
What operating systems are supported by eTouch SamePage?
eTouch SamePage Server supports Windows , Linux, Solaris are supported. For client, it supports Windows, Linux, Solaris and MAC. Read System Requirements for details.
How do I get the evaluation license for eTouch SamePage?
Once you download and install eTouch SamePage, you need to mail to samepage-support@etouch.net with following information to request the license.
- Your Name
- Company Name
- Contact Tel Number
- E-mail
- Address
- No of CPUs on the machine where eTouch SamePage server will run
How long it takes to install eTouch SamePage?
Once you have all the required components, the installation process takes about 4-5 minutes.
What is the recommended hardware for eTouch SamePage server?
Recommended minimum configuration is Windows/Linux server with 2 CPU, 1GB RAM (minimum 256 MB), and about 100G of storage [storage requirements depend on the usage, product code needs 250 MB]
Does eTouch SamePage support clustering?
Yes, eTouch SamePage is multi node aware and advanced configuration allows running it on multiple nodes on the server side.
Does eTouch SamePage support LDAP for authentication?
Yes, advanced configuration allows integration with LDAP for authentication. Please refer LDAP Configuration
